Hello Everyone,

I've been hiding in the shadows of this fair site for a few weeks now like a baby skinklet as I start to build my unstoppable Lizardman horde!

I've been absent from the hobby for about 11 years and it is now time to settle an ancient grudge match. On New Years day me and my friend's freshly painted 1500 point armies will face each in glorious combat.

My friend is building a High Elf army so any tips on how to crush these pernicious Elves would be appreciated.

I'll post some photos of my horde as it's built.

Welcome to the forum!

Facing elves, you should take a basic slann with lore of light (gets rid of that awful ASF). You should also take lots of saurus and some skinks. There is nothing better than casting Speed of light at the higher value and making all of your troops I10 and WS10. Even better to give them ASF (Birona's timewarp) along with that. Give those stinking elves a taste of their own medicine.

Also, you should take one or two salamanders. Burning elf smells wonderful!

Agreed with the above, salamander wreck serious havoc.
Any skink shooting you have nail his swordmasters if you can they are deadly but soft.

Even at this point level take a slann (light) with either two disciplines or one and a scroll.

I hadn't really given magic a great deal of thought beyond 'I will include a Slann' so that's really helpful. It looks like I need to be a Saurus painting machine over the next few weeks plus some more Skinks. I really like the Skink models (and they're pretty small) so they shouldn't be too difficult to bulk up on.

I'm quite excited about flambe-ing my first Elves . The models are a bit rubbish though but one of the guys on the forum has converted some Dark Elf Cold Ones so that'll probably be the direction I take.
