Hi everyone,

Was in a challenge, fighting a character with 3 wounds. BoR hit 4 times, 3 failed Ld tests + wounded the pasted Ld test.

So... how many wounds do I deal/ how much overkill is there?

Thankyou for your thoughts

Samuel

I'd say you had to roll for the other wounds as soon as he is slain, since you can't instant slay one who is already dead.

But it is most surely up for debate, that would just be my guess

I Believe the answer is in the Lizardmen FAQ.
(I believe it's the same ruling as Killing blow)

In yet another stealth FAQ change, the old FAQ dealing with killing blows, overkill and challenges has been removed from the most recent version. However, based on the rules on page 103, each failed save from the BoR is effectively a KB attack and would thus count as the number of wounds on the character's profile. In this instance, 3 failed saves x 3 wounds on profile = 9 wounds. HOWEVER, the maximum overkill permitted is the starting number of wounds +5 so in this instance it was likely a maximum combat resolution of 8 but could have been as low as 6 if the enemy character had begun the combat wounded.
