I know the old rules for battle standard bearers in any book used to read That they bearer can no longer carry other weapons or shields. However all the new books it doesn't mention that in any way. Does that mean you can have a Scar-Vet BSB with a gw or a shield or not.

Cause I would think that would be very cool.

Sweet, that's much more fun, and makes a tad more sense too.

Yeah, its like they carry the banner strapped to their back...But if they flee its like they drop it on the ground and run if they get pursued... >__>

Go GW logic...

:D

When running for your life, you have to take into account the wind resistance caused by a giant banner strapped to your back.

What if you had the wind in your back? add 1D6" to your flee move :P
I've been thinking of putting banners on my heroes backs, samuraj-style, but I'mnot sure it'll look good with totems. Flags are better i think ^^

Flags are really easy to make, just take a standard pole, and place a piece of fabric, and paint it. The paint will harden the fabric and the banner will stay in whatever pose you put it. Using it for my upcoming conversion.

I've been thinking of using flags, but I like the totems Lizardmen usually use as banners better. I just can't really picture a totem on a backpack, so to say :P
