If I make a cowboy my BSB, who has used his full 50 pts on other magic items (eg Armour of Destiny) can he still take a magic standard?
 
Nope, it says that in every army book. as far as i know, the only BSBs that can have both are the special named ones in the army books you'll find around the place and the slann.
 
Thanks. I thought so, but wasn't sure. Shame, but there you go.

Makes me wonder why our guys can't take magical standards (other than TG) when lots of others can.

Have to work with what we've got.
