Caer's Chaos Lizards

Hee there,

I had the idea to do a Chaos Lizardmen army. I'm still working on the fluff, but here's the first modeling results!

I decided to start out with Skinks since they are relatively easy to convert to Chaos (model wise). Here are some pictures, please dont pay any attention to the paintjob or basing, I only smacked some colours on to see what I liked/didn't like for a colourscheme. The photo quality is really bad, but I only have my phone atm to take pictures with




In the back you can see my Kroxi, but thats still very rough.









So, what do you guys think and does anyone have any advice for skincolours / colourschemes. I'm not really satisfied with these colours.

I think the colors you have there are looking cool, are you going to deticate them to a particular faction of choas? Looking cool, hope to see more posts.

First off I'm glad you guys like them. I'm not sure yet about the colourscheme or the background fluff, what god etc. These are just the first testmodels that I made to see if it would look okee

Any sugestions for colourschemes / themes?

What if sotek was actually the Blood God Khorne? Then these people supposedly thought he was the God. and then He protects them from Slaneesh or somefin? If so Red Crested skinks.

I dont know enough about the lizardmen background to immediately understand what you mean ? What exactly are these betrayers? Anyway, it sounds like a good start!

Look at my signature. It is pickt from the Lizardmen armybook and is part of the prophecy of Sotek. Now, in the Warriors of Chaos book, something similare is mentioned; about a twin tailed comet that herralds the comming of the end of times.
And It you look at the similarity of the Blood god Korn and the Druchii god of Murder Khain, it's not unlikely there is a link here...

Hmm, that would be most interesting!! If Khaine = Khorne = Sotek, that would definetly give me some stuff to think/write about

It would also sort of solve the colourscheme, tho Khaine, i think, is still purplish. Or at least, I've never seen red executioners/witch elves ^^

so are you be using them as normal lizzies or as chaos?
if as chaos you should base the skinks on the bigger infantry bases though.

ie the twin tailed comet has ind some up and downs:
at the coming of sotek it was the second time in history a twin tailed comet was seen.
this was the coming of sotek, end of times and valten.

the first time it was seen sigmar( that was his name right? the dude with big hamemr who united the empire agaisnt orcs?) was born , and well we know the story of him d we?
