Loved this battle. Well thought out tactic from the Giants! Great kills by the Lizards. Spoiler: Outcome Huuray for the victory! Grrr, Imrahil
Very fun battle report! I love Thunder Lizards, and it's nice to see that they actually have the damage output to kill the giants.

Got in a 5 game GT with Stegageddon! It was a TON of fun. Not the most competitive list, but def the most fun!
I was getting tired of getting my Stegadons shot by Axton's Astral Templar Ballistas, so I brought Kroaknado + 3 Bastiladons! Haha! the realm shaper engine, is that a thing that people just dont bring it to events sometimes? given the deployment mechanics. I like the idea of using it at LOS blocking, but events do not require the terrain to be used? more of a personal handicap i guess?
@chefofwar yeah, the Realmshaper has placement rules that are pretty wonky for us. Most events I know of don't require faction terrain to be brought, as ita part of the list building process. Though I so not know if they require it to be placed if it's in your list. It has uses, like what Caleb did, but it can be used against you as a bunker if your not careful.
For the ones I've been to, yes, though sometimes they also say you can move terrain already in place to allow it to fit where you may want it.
Yep, this GT allowed you to place the Realmshaper (or the OBR terrain) wherever you want. BUT if that required the table's pre-set terrain to be shifted, your opponent would reposition the table terrain as needed. Sort of a give and take. In those 5 games, no one ever garrisoned it (neither me or more opponent). Lol
@Caleb ex nihilo Man, your conversions are great. Do you have some close-ups somewhere of the LED Bastiladon and the EotG?
Here is a quick video on the LEDs in the Bastiladon: For the EOTG, I don't have a video... yet! Haha. Probably should do one. I used the Stegadon (obviously) and added the Celestial Hurricanum to the howdah. For the middle of the "cosmic engine", I drilled a hole into a marble (that is hard!!) with an underwater diamond bit. Then fed the lights up through the model similar to the bastiladon!
I was about to ask where the astrolabe came from. Was thinking something 3D printed, but no, it's an obscure GW model, lol. Thanks for the video, and once again, good job!
Had some fun with the new Lord Kroak warscroll! A friendly Father/Son game of Seraphon (Kroak, 10 Guard, 3 Stegs, Bastiladon) vs Stormcast (Prime, Arcanum, 20 Sequitors, 4 Fulminators, 4 Ballistas). 6:42 For the Salt! lol
Very interesting battle report. So would you say that Kroak is better or worse with the new rules? Personally, I don't think he's really gotten nerfed that much, just changed up. But I've heard a lot of people saying he's now unplayable due to the wounds rule. But I also think that may be because people think that he can rush into combat now...
I'd say that... ON AVERAGE... Kroak is harder to kill. BUT with an unlucky dice roll he can be easily slain. So I would say that he is "less competitive" since you don't want a random dice roll to determine the fate of your centerpiece hero. With Kroak's effective spell range decreased since you can't get on balewind and points cost going up 110 points while still requiring Guard and an Astrolith Banner to make it worth its points.... Kroak is no longer an "auto-include" that he used to be. Oh and I would NEVER plan on running Kroak into combat. His melee profile is TERRIBLE against anything except a horde wrapped around you... in which case Kroak is probably dead anyway. Lol. The 3D6 roll for Kroak's life does add some tension to each phase that he took any damage!! Haha I need to play some "competitive" games with new Kroak... maybe with a Troglodon. Sit Kroak back and let the Trog get in the mix as the arcane vassal.
