first sorry I don't speak English that well

I have one question. if canon ball hit skink chief on stegadon.
it this situation, skink chief and stegadon both s10 d6 damage?

Nope either or, see monster mounts in the main rulebook.

As per the new rules the cannonball hits the steg, the chief and the crewskinks, with S10 multyple wounds (D6).

Sadly the poor steg and all the crew eat the cannonball as it is considered a template attack.

I thought that a cannon was not a template a so when hitting a stegadon or other ridden monster the hit was randomised between the monster and ridders, and it is a stone thrower that is a template and therefore hits everyone.

Page 113 " A cannon ball is treated exactly like a special kind of template"

It follows the rules for templates, everything is hit. It is a very sad thing but thats how it plays out in 8th. Each part of the model takes the hit.

So just to let me get it right?

When a stonethrower centered its template on a Steg model. Every part of the model gets a S10 hit?

Nope, S10 is cannon, stone thrower is S3 and S9(?) in the centre

So if the stone thrower centers on the model. Randomize the S9 hit and the rest get hit by s3?

Now i understand why people say gone with the steggie vs cannons and such.

indeed, so at least the steg has a vauge chance against a stone thrower. against a cannon all you can do is pray for a low roll on the d6 wounds

and a good roll on monster reaction.
