Can't search

"Sorry but you are not permitted to use the search system."

This is what I have been seeing recently when I click on the "view active topics" link, which I normally use to see what new posts there are.

Yep there are currently some server issues which we are looking at fixing. Its also why the board was down yesterday.

I still can't get the 'View active topics' to work. It doesn't give an error, but all it shows is the Merry Xmas thread... which is nice and all, but that's usually my landing site for the forums to see what's new.

Hmm that is odd. I can imagine that the 'active topics' might have reset during the upgrade, but they should have more than that now. View new Posts is working fine, shows everything new since your last visit.

I recently updated the forum software to the latest version, which was released 7 days ago, so there may be some bugs
