Blog Carni's Den of Deadly Delights - February 9th

Hey all, been a while, BUT I have pictures and a good few things to go over.

Firstly, I apologize for my absence, I know life without me is a bore. I jest of course.

Secondly, progress pics of the Engine of the Gods, Stegadon painted by my lovely (and unscaly) life mate.

The Howdaw is removable at this time, and much of the detail work needs to be done. Overall though, I like it and am proud of her.

Thirdly, I have edited my collections and removed the elves aside from the High Warden on a Griffon. They have been sold off, the poor pointy-earred sods. Serves them right. In their place, I have added a force of Khorne Bloodbound (hald of the starter sets that I split with one of the spawnlings.) to the Chaos section. . . . I have so many Choas models to put together and paint.

Fourthly and finally, I've added another Tournament Report to the Rest of my Projects. It shall be done within the week, as it happened nearly three weeks before.... ;-.-

Cheers all. And next time I post I'm going to post pics of my WIP Conversion Project.

Nice bright purple, he looks good so far.

Recently got back into the hobby for AoS/fantasy, had a break from it for a bit concerning the release and subsequent.... upheaval of 40k (My Tyranids called to me strongly.) I have many additions to add to the project blog, and need to update everything. Not to mention I may need to add more sections to my collection and project areas.

I hope to be around more as well, despite having my time divided more so.

Good to have you back posting :)

Odd being back and then disappearing once more. My computer died for a while and the means to fix it took far longer than expected. But now the Carnivorous spawning has returned, and I have cleaned up my collection tab a little. Much has happened in the year and a half I have been gone. Pictures shall be made, words rewritten, battles made into tales. Maybe I'll even re-evaluate my Asoteka project and restart it.

I shall start by cleaning this mess, and then prepping for the Doubles Tourney I have on the 21st of this month involving my Seraphon. hopefully, it shall be the last hurrah before a new Battletome.

Cheers my compatriots.

Today was an arduous day or games.

I haven't played 2nd Edition AoS, basically dropping it for a while after it came out. But it was a great day at the same time. I was partnered with the better DoK player in my area, who had confidence we would place decently if we played smart. Lists were as this.

Seraphon
-Slan Starmaster: General
Gryph Feather Charm
Great Rememberer
Meteoric Convocation

-Astrolith Bearer
-Skink Starpriest
Light of Dracothian
Stellar Tempest

Skinks (10)
Skinks (10)
Ripperbirbs (6)

Shadowstrike Starhost
Chronomatic Cogs
Balewind Vortex

Daughters of Khaine
-Bloodwrack Medusa: General
Mindrazor
-Hag Queen
Sacrament of Blood
-Hag Queen
Martyr's Sacrifice
-Slaughter Queen on Cauldron of Blood: General(?)
Devoted Disciples
Blessings of Khaine
Blood Sigil

Witch Aelves (30)
Sisters of Slaughter (30)

So it felt like a strong combo, with me being the magic or summoning turret, and him being the blender. Overall, it worked exactly like that. Only I couldn't get Cogs off a single time, and ended up just forgetting about both it and BwV in the last fight.

Lists we battled were Hedonites+Tzeentch, Seraphon(!)+Order[cannons and what would be a core for Free Cities], and finally 2500 points of Idoneth, as his partner had to leave and he had a full army on hand. Of the three, all were fun, but only the first was decided nearly from the beginning, despite Rippers doing their work and killing 10 Daemonettes and his Gaunt Summoner General.

The second game was essentially a teaching game, since the Seraphon player there was new, and her partner was doing most of the decision making. Once the game was mostly decided, we just played it out and helped her with a lot of the nuances of AoS and her summoning choices, etc. The third game was just a blast though, a real slugfest. We managed to table 2500 points of Idoneth, and came out ragged for it. It was my favorite of the three though.

Overall. A good showing, a pleasant debut, and I just now look at the pictures I took and realized how poor they are. Pitty.

Next Tournament is on the 11th, and I plan on going to this one as well.

Made some minor updates, and updated my Workstation. Its been a hectic time, but with news of the coming Book, I have a renewed vigor.

I will also be moving my place of residence soon, so trying to get things packed together as well.

I will find a way to take more pictures soon!
