If I have a Carnosaur mounted Oldblood in a unit, can it be targeted individually by shooting? Thanks in advance!

Yes it can be targeted by shooting.

Warhammer rulebook pg 74, characters, shooting, characters inside units, last paragraph

Sadly no, since the carnie is US5 and the OLD US1
they would have to add up to 3 or under to get look out sir rule.

But on the bright side they can join a unit. ;)

The question is can it be targeted by shooting? Yes it can.

I think you meant yes? Just so we don't confuse people, I adjusted my post to make sure it was clear what I was saying yes to!

If a character in a unit is below unit strength 5, they he cannot be targeted with shooting and receives a look-out-sir roll in the case of template weapons. At US5 and above, both of these protections are lost. OB on Carno is at a US6, so no protection at all.

It is a little strange when you think about it. He is not a large target, so he can safely stand behind a unit and not be able to be shot, but as soon as he is mingling in their ranks he is fair game.
