Amazing work! I love the colorscheme and especially the vibrant green on the top scales and the transition between the green scales and the fleshy parts :artist:
Your basing looks very realistic, well done.

And do I see a Lego frog sitting proudly on the stone? :)

    Grrr, !mrahil

    Thank you.
The frog comes from the new slann sprue
The acid green scales are made with bad gitz yellow and wayland glaze.

IMG_8924.jpeg IMG_8926.jpeg IMG_8920.jpeg IMG_8934.jpeg IMG_8925.jpeg IMG_8910.jpeg My oldblood on carnosaur has been one of my main characters of my Seraphon army for several years. He was the first large character I painted when I converted my square based Lizardmen to round base Seraphon. This was the model I used to test/figure out the color scheme for my “modern” Seraphon with my red skin and dark green hardened scales for a deep jungle green. And I was still happy with him, but Ive certainly sharpened my painting skills a bit over the last few years. And since this guy, on all new saurus, kroxigor, etc… I paint spines in a fire color to show them being a Coalesced force in the realm of Aqshy.

A few days ago I was having a friendly game with my best friend, and during the battle we both agreed that his paint job was still totally serviceable for the battlefield, he and his carnosaur should have fire spines as well. After the game, i decided to sit down and add those fire spines. But as I was waiting for layers to dry, I started to see other little things I just wanted to touch up. Or a spot that needed a little shading, or a touch of blending would help, and all of a sudden I had painted for 6 hours straight bringing up the contrast, making the colors bolder and giving him a bit more character.

Normally I dont ever repaint models, as I like seeing my progress in painting across my army. But I wasnt repainting this guy so much as building on top of the paint job that was already there. I almost treated it like the first paint job was the basecoat layers for the colors I now needed to add to. And since this model is one of my primary used centerpiece models in game as I love this character as my saurus battlefield tactics general while my slann deal with grander things.

I included two pics of what his original paint job looked like. I am really happy with how he turned out, and I think it looks more fit to lead the new saurus and kroxigor. Let me know what you think.
