8th Ed. Casket of Souls

I have a question about the Tomb Kings Casket of Souls: If you give the Liche Priest who's using the Casket a healing potion, could he resurrect the dead guards, as they all draw from the same "wounds pool"? RAW says that the Casket is treated as a piece of equipment, so I thought that he could bring back the wounds, but not the Guards, effectively giving the Liche Priest two extra wounds. Thoughts?

The guards have separate wound profiles to the priest, you do wound the entire thing as a whole and remove the guards first but that doesn't mean they are all in one pool. Bringing back the guards with the healing potion is a farce at best.
