I was so angry because I had painstakingly finished the other parts of the model and pieces (did it in sub assemblies) and then that happened. Had to strip, clean, and reprime that entire piece. Gotta learn the hard way sometimes!
He did mention that Forgeworld stuff was covered in the person lube of satan himself, but GW stuff was fine... it does definitely have a slippery texture to it. I might do an experiment on washed vs unwashed resin and report back here.
Unless your using an epoxy based primer all other paints will struggle to adhere to a greasy/dirty surface, even epoxy or acid based primer will struggle.
The first one is only a lowpipe sticking from some foam. The second one is the lower half of a skink and the last one the back and tail. So, in this case it's not just from one skink (random leftover bits) but if you go for it I think you could make it work.
That's too rad. You could literally make an entire squad of these out of leftover bits. Super efficient use of leftovers and these guys still have so much character to them Recycling/10
This suddenly makes me realise how much potential and scope there is for Seraphon to have some comedy in the faction through Chamelion Skinks. I would absolutely LOVE to see a "show me your silliest, weirdest or most eccentric Cham skink" thread. Could also be made in to a competition to inspire some more wacky ideas and poses I suppose.
