Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Ok... a cow... and a millstone?
Seems like these guys visited old McDonald before joining the pack...
So great!

Agreed. Your gobbos look fantastic, as do your lizardmen! Not much looks cooler than a unit of fully-painted saurus. Are you going to paint the movement tray too?

Eventually, but I use those trays for my other 8 armies as well, so I'm not overly motivated to get that done right now. I've got a LOT of models left to go!

Like this bad-boy I worked on putting together last night. I'm going to magnetize the riders to the seat so that I can use them on a Dark Pegasus that I'm making as well.

Lol, oh if you only knew the sheer mountain of unpainted models ahead of me. This seems like a (relatively) small unit in comparison! And then I need to go back and repaint all of the first models I painted before I learned how to paint. I basically have 10K points of TK that are unpainted. I've only scratched their surface. But one of my main opponents plays VC, so I'm not in any rush to have an Undead vs Undead match. One day.

Well, my Elspeth Van Draken on Carmine Dragon came in yesterday! It wasn't as well packaged as I had hoped. The eBay seller only stuffed crumpled up notepaper around it! For such an expensive ForgeWorld model, I would've thought they would've shown a little more respect for it. Even so, it wasn't in too bad of shape. The main thing is that her left arm was off and the scythe was broken in two. (There are a few spines that were snapped off as can be seen in the pic as well.) Fixing the scythe will be the biggest concern since it is SO thin at the break. I'll have to use some Green Stuff work around it and still try to keep a sleek look for her. I've also got to put the model on an appropriate sized base.

That is such a lovely model. Perhaps my favourite dragon.

Some people have no common sense. I hope you are able to repair it without too much difficulty.

Yeah, one of my favorites too. I've been circling it for years now, looking for a good opportunity to buy one. FINALLY!

Hopefully I'll be able to do a good enough job on the repair that it won't be noticeable. No pinning, unfortunately.

That kind of damage really hurts! Good luck fixing it! Hope the happiness and the fun when painting it compensates for the frustration...

Could you not make a mould and recast another?

Hopefully I don't have to!

I Super-glued the scythe together and it seems to be holding fairly well. I haven't been touch-testing it, but I suppose I'll find out how strong it's bond is when I start painting her up.

Lol, waaay too many!

I have around 400+ Tomb Kings, all those Skaven pictured above, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 Orcs and Goblins, about 100+ Lizardmen, 100+ Empire, ~150 Dwarves, maybe 50 or so High Elves, and around 50 or so Wood Elves and Dark Elves.

I stockpile whenever I come across a good deal on eBay. Eventually, I want to have my 9 armies fully painted and playable when my kids are old enough to play with me! And since I have quadruplets, we'll have a little on-going tournament in our house! Lol! I also play a lot with my friends and they borrow my armies whenever they get the "itch" for something different.
