He looks great I would be tempted to add a bit of colour to his eyes maybe red or green

Well, I finished painting #1 of two Hunters (on foot). I still need to finish his base, but I want to finish painting a few other models first and then do their bases all at the same time.

Looks great I really do like your scheme it adds real drama to the models.

Lol, I know, right? I'm still tossing around ideas in my mind about how to approach them. They are so very prominent. I'll certainly take any ideas that y'all might have!

Well you are onto a good start with the basecoat on brown. I usually drybrush bone and then do a light sepia wash on horns

Yeah, I've done one of these Thundertusks before (it's on page 11 in this thread), but I just don't know if that's the way I should take it.

I love the look that this one achieved, especially on it's belly, but I don't really care for all of the gore or the metallic-looking tusks.

Do you guys think that this look would go well with the rest of my Ogres, or should I stick with the blues as are on my Stonehorn?

That would look great in your army, replace the gore with rust and still use the blue skin tones on the Ogres, I think it would make a fantastic addition.

There's a good tutorial about horns and tusks on youtube. Just search for vince vinturella and horns. Perhaps the result is up to your taste...I personally like the way it turns out.

Well, I have a really good method for painting bone horns, I'm just not totally sure if I want them to have the "bone" look, or a "stone" look, or giant "ice tusks", etc.
