8th Ed. Cockatrice

Just pondering if a cockatrice is useful for lizard men. It flies, haz a ranged attack, reasonably nasty. We're not short of fliers or monsters but the opportunity to paint it as a coatl type thing seems good.

I got one on the day of release as it was my favourite among the SoM releases and I think I've used it in most SoM games I've played since.

Most of the time, the best thing about it is the combination of lots of attacks and high initiative in a reasonably cheap flying monster. This makes it a great mage hunter. It can hold reasonably well against weak infantry but anything better than basic humans will make short work of it.
