Last Friday I was having breakfast at about a quarter before four at an IHOP; I had an index card, a pencil, and a ballpoint pen with me. The French toast & sides that I ordered took long enough that while I was waiting, this happened:

The original is about 4x3".
 
Damn, that's quite the artistic drawing. It would make for an amazing model!
 
Got to make that into a model now Pendrake.

Who has breakfast at 03:45? That's not breakfast, that's a very late supper.....Supfast, perhaps?

I like it. I'm guessing that's a cold one? Surely, a decent idea for GW to consider for our much-needed artillery support.
 
Put that on a 40mm base and you got yourself a nice stand in for a razordon. :)

(Early Bob stuff got drawn first, then captions were thought up later. This was even the case when I was deliberately drawing specific funny situations. I had no control over facial expressions or eyelines therefore the words came after I had worked out what everyone's mood and eyeline was.

Continuing the razordon idea: If I could fit two cold ones on the stand, make a little platform carried by both, that might fit four skink archers...
 
Yes, razordons are on 40x40mm square base. Same as salamanders.

What about just using only one cold one but the carrying case (howdah...?) would not be on top but rather have two? One on each side with two skinks. Should give them plenty of room.

Or then perhaps instead of giving them bows you could make the cold one carry a giant blowpipe. Kind of like the ones on top of a ancient stegadon...?

The Dread Saurian is cool, but that thing is colossal in size (and price). I like the razordon idea, one cold one should fit on there nicely.
 
Boom! You got your fast cav right there! Add in that they would get two shots a piece + Poison and there you go! No Spear options. The Cold One would be the close combat fighter and the skinks on the back the ranged threat. Cost them at 19 points per model. Now we'd have something to keep up with Wood Elves or Ellryian Reavers!

But cold ones are pretty slow for fast cav. Plus stupidity on a low leadership unit that typically works outside of the general/bsb bubble is bad news.
 
make the horned ones then.... (no stupidity)
 
I think they may have gotten some other minor attack bonus as well.
 
I wish we had access to such a core unit. Firstly, imagine how much tactical flexibility it would give us. Secondly, look at pendrake's drawing, how awesome would it be to have models like that!
 
I'm sure GW considers the Terradons or Ripperdactyls as our swift response units. I've never heard of Horned Ones. What were they?

Type of cold one but smarter, not sure when they got phased out tbh.
 
Skinny, skink only, smarter cold ones, that you could only use with the south lands list in 6th edition.
