Help Could i get help with these models please

So i ended up getting a Tau Army for 40 K for free from someone and ive started to strip and paint them id love some advice on the painting the Kroot im doing them a grey colour and im not 100% happy with them im wondering could someone have a look and give some advice to improve them please

Id like to get the Grey more solid if that makes sense and maybe have them a little lighter when done

Give them a couple of thin coats of a darkish grey make sure you get a good even colour go for something like Eshin grey then drybrush them with Celestra grey and a final light drybrush with Ulthuan grey.

Don't shade them let the Eshin be the shade.
