1. When you stand and shoot with javelins and blowpipes, do you get a -1 for shooting at long range. Or is the -1 for stand and shoot the only one applied?

2. Do you get a -1 to hit on shooting with javelins when you move? What about blowpipes?

3. Saurus with spears. Do they get 2 attacks in the ranks behind the 1st one?

4. Stomp. Does a model have to have the stomp rule or does a stegadon get it too?

I apologize for all the questions here. I just played my first game in 10 years and I wasn't up to speed with a lot of the new stuff going on.

Thanks in advance.

Both penalties apply to both shooting weapons. The only difference is that blowpipes may choose to multi-shot and javelins have no minimum distance for stand and shoot.

2. Do you get a -1 to hit on shooting with javelins when you move? What about blowpipes?

No for javelins, yes for blowpipes.

3. Saurus with spears. Do they get 2 attacks in the ranks behind the 1st one?

The front rank gets two attacks per model. The supporting ranks get one attack per model. The exception is if your Saurus are flanked. If a unit on the flank or rear is in bsse contact with an enemy they get the full two attacks.

4. Stomp. Does a model have to have the stomp rule or does a stegadon get it too?

Kroxigor have Stomp (along with all Monstrous Infantry). Bastiladons, Stegadons, Carnosaurs, and Troglodons have Thunderstomp (along with all Monsters).

Also Stomp for Monstrous Beast / Monstrous Cavalry like the Terradons and Ripperdactyls

Just to add some references to Scalenex's responses:

1. Javelins are throwing weapons (p. 91) and have quick to fire (p. 73). Shooting penalties are on page 40.

2. Since javelins have quick to fire rule (73), they ignore move and shoot.

3. See supporting attacks, page 48.

4. Stomp & thunderstomp on page 76.

Fixed that for you.. and yes they are thrown.. but they have their own entry as their range is double that of normal throwing weapons

And they are poison.

The range is nice, but without the poisons, they wouldn't be worth much anyway.

Also remember that you can march and shoot with skirmishers. That's a pretty big deal for Skink Skirmishers
