i want to see what the oppionion is on a a scar veteran cowboy with the steg hem over our tandard variant

scar vet 1
cold one steg helm light armour halebard

scar vet 2
dragon helm, dawnstone light armour halebard
cold one

i played with the 1st one last night and he tore threw a chamera and a hell cannon most of the attacks bouncing off his toughness 6 he did lose 1 wound to the cannon.

any thoughts

Of the two builds, the ability to reroll the 1+ armour save will give better protection against anything except attacks which ignore armour, many of which also ignore toughness, so you're sacrificing some durability for the impact hits, which at S5 are a decent boost on the charge. Personally, I still like my own favourite of armour of protection

I think this would work best with beasts spell...

With a halberd he would be S7 and T7 and PF means he might net on average about 5 attacks a turn.

Since he is I3, I would go for a Great Weapon over a Halberd since you will often be attacking last anyway.

I love the helm, but probably only for an Old Blood who has more points to spend on gear.

For the scar vet I think it's just a bit too expensive, and my rule of thumb for cowboys is that they must either have re-rollable 1+ or 1+/4+

T6 is awesome, but I think the above two are still more durable in the majority of situations.
