Crew on Regular Stegadon... glue or no glue

I'm not sure what to do with the 5 crew that go on the regular stegadon model. They cannot all fit on bases and stand in there, so it seems as if my only option is to glue them in. My question is, how will this affect play? When a crew member dies in battle I'll be unable to remove him if he's glued in. Do you just use dice to represent how many crew and steg wounds are left?

Yeah a lot of people would just use dice. The other option is to fix them non-permanently to the howdah, such as with pegs or magnets. The character is the most important to be able to remove though.

You can just place them on the howdah, they stand quite well on it.
