BL dont get hatred naturally, they only get it if they include a herald which is a 50slaves character min. If your factoring extra characters in then a scar vet with an asf sword and can kill the herald before the BL or the herald strike and is about the same points. Basically kill the herald and there is no hatred, he wasnt included as he changes the points of the units. Similarly a steg charging in changes the points slightly . Give horded saurus a try with an aggressive combat lore, they beat most units when buffed.
I know that of course, but in my meta bloodletters are never fielded without a herald. Even then a scarvet with asf doesnt really have a great chance of killing the herald as far as I can see, and its a really narrow option. In my gaming group we build all comers lists. Anyway Salamanders handle bloodletters perfectly fine or atleast thin them down enough that they are no threat.
Anyone ever tried using the Blade of Realities against greater demons? I haven't had the chance yet but autokill on missed leadership tests sounds promising..
How many points are you playing? If you are facing multiple greater demons it must be huge games. You should be able to afford multiple slann or just a truckload of skirmishers.
Its not multiple greater daemons. just mentioned the thirster and the keeper because Guo and Lord of change doesnt really scare me
A sneaky trick is to use Sivjer's Hex Scroll. The Keeper and GUO start off lvl 1 which makes the scroll great and the LoC is a lvl 4 which still gives you a 33% chance of turning it into a frog. It can be a nasty surprise for your oppenant. Alternatively and possibly more useful is to use it on a Tzeench Herald with Loremaster. He is still only lvl 2 so you have a good chance of stopping his magic and turning him into a frog in his phase then charging/magic missiling/Death sniping/shooting him to death in your phase. This could help with him healing up his Bloodthirster. A few wounds on the thirster from poison will make your oppenant think twice about charging him in. A thirster not in combat is A) wasting his points and B) vulnerable to more shooting. Killing it is nice but keeping it away can work just as well.
