Yeah some of my oooold old squigs are fleshy - I like them but yeah they look weird.

Thank you @Aginor

Just base coated and washed 11 more squigs, 10 squig bounders and the mangler.
At work now for 14 days straight so won’t be doing much to them any time soon :/ hopefully get a few hours here and there - I’ll post as I go.

Looks beautiful. The color palate for your squiggs is fantastic. The poorly grot on the base is a great addition. I also love the blind eye on the side of the squigg's face with the exposed skull. You nailed all those little details.

You have some coffee staining on the teeth from the wash. I think layer blending the teeth out with some Ubshati or Flayedone Flesh would conceal the frosting.

Thank you :)
The teeth and tongue where annoying me throughout ;D didn’t quite go to plan - was hard trying to think of ways to darken them down so that the whole model wasn’t too similar in colour with the whites - decided to leave some darker patches - I shall pay heed though and adapt - also on teeth I noticed I missed the grots little gnashes ! Oops

Yeah, it is hard to work in beige and white when so much surface area is already devoted to it.

Truly a beautiful job. The skin is glorious!

Awesome Squigglets!!
Still love the colors, they pop out nice between the brown and grey/metal.:artist:

Thanks :)

It was driving me a bit crazy trying to find colours I liked in them, didn’t want red - green or purple where in top but I just didn’t like them when I’d tried it.

So went for mushroom coloured - as it kind of went with the over all fungi theme.
When I started the tester I got to the red stage and thought “oh crap it doesn’t work” then added a few smaller details (down the sides, small patches of white on top of the red) and it started to look pretty decent, now I’m happy with it.
Glad the mangler came out ok (was very worried right up until the end)!

I managed to get the white/red skins done on al my smaller squigs before I left for work today - I have the weekend off (praise the lord!) so hopefully will have time to finish them all up and have them posted on here.

Next will be the fell waters - which should be relatively easy going (classic slimy green colours)
And 5x fanatics which are easy.

Then I guess I’ll go buy the last parts to my 2,000pt army (20 more gobbos, 10 more bounders and a shrine)

And boom all will be complete (with a few extras on the side) so I can finally go test them out

Took me the whole of yesterday, but:

Squigs and first unit of 10 Boingrot bounders completed...phew - those buggers are tricky to glue and paint, but I’m happy with them, Gloomspite have so many great models it’s so hard to pick which ones to use!

Anyway, hope they are enjoyed any C&C welcome as usual.
