Hey Guys, so somewhere I got it into my head that if a Unit A charges Unit B which is defending an obstacle them Unit A doesnt get any charge bonuses eg. impact hits. However when I went to look it up I couldnt find it. Did I just make up a rule? or was that present in a previous edition? If not a page reference for the little rule book would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Skinnyboy

I think its the the terrain section just before ig goes on to say what each type does.

The defended obstacle stopping impact hits was from previous editions, it is no longer the case. Apart from having to do a dangerous terrain check for chariots and any cav that causes impact hits (i.e. mournfang), defended obstacles generally only provide a -1 to hit for the first round of combat. Page 123 has full details.

I think walls still retain some of the old rules....?
