Desert theme

That would be interesting to see.
Sadly I don't have experience on contrast paints.

Not sure on the model itself, but some crackle/texture paint could work nice for the base.
Agrellan Badland with some Agrax and then dry brushing of a light brown could give a nice dried desert look.
