different colour schemes.

I was thinking of having a more intresting colour scheme than the classic blue i wondered if anyone had any tips on how i could paint my lizzies to look like this.


Please say if you dont think this wouldnt look very good im just experimenting with colouring schemes atm.

I think it's great to go against the traditional blue of the lizardmen. I have always thought of them as green myself.

I'm no painter but I think a theme like the one you suggest would look fantastic if you can pull it off.

I'll let some of the better artists give you some tips/techniques though ^_^

Like i said in another post, i would love to make a lizardman model to look like a red cheeck freshwater turtle, but this is very cool too! Like tyranids, lizardmen benefit from reptilian paintjobs imo!

I am also not a fan of the blue theme GW picked for them. I think all ranges of earth-tones suits them very well. I try not to paint mine any "unnatural" colors. I think a black and tan scheme would look very nice, would you carry it throughout the entire army or just for saurus and skinks?

Yer i think id carry it through the army might use some different shades on the cold ones stegs terranadons etc

I think that because all lizardmen are the same sort of species it makes sense to have them all in the same general paintscheme but with differences, skinks perhaps being lighter or brighter and the kroxigor more faded.
