I summon forth the magnificent members of this community to once more assist me in my time of need! I want to show some friends the game, so I would like to split my army in two. I don't know if I should allow the use of summoning in these games since I only have one Slann. I need help building two lists that could fight each other in test games in a moderately balanced environment. Maybe two 1000 pts lists? I want to know your opinion, since you are in my mind some kind of seraphon deity. Please hear my plea!
The models I have are:

Saurus oldblood (120)
Saurus oldblood on Carnosaur (240)
Saurus sunblood (120)
2x Skink priest (80)
2x Skink starpriest (80)
Slann Starmaster (260)
Saurus scar veteran on cold one (100)

5x Saurus Knights (80)
60x Saurus Warriors (540 if there isn't a 40 men unit, 510 if there is one)
20x Skinks (Boltspitters and Shields)

3x Razordons (150 if there isn't a 3 razor units, 120 if there is)

Bastiladon (280, solar engine)
Troglodon (140)

3x Ripperdactyls (140)
3x Skink handlers (40)
3x Terradon riders (120)

Balewind Vortex (40)
Quicksilver swords (30)

Total: 2720 to 2780, depending on size of warriors and razordon units and not counting batallions

What do you guys think? Is this too ambitious? Thank you a lot in advance, haven't been too active lately because I just moved to a new city and it has been total madness lol Hope you're so doing fine :) Cheers!!

So to start out: to teach your homies the basic game use a unit of warriors and a skink starpriest each, this will cover all phases and teach them about warscrolls. As for a game try to start with maybe 500 points
Try these two
Allegiance: Seraphon

Leaders
Skink Starpriest (80)
- General
- Trait: Master of Star Rituals
- Artefact: Light of Dracothion
- Spell: Stellar Tempest
Skink Priest (80)
- Priestly Trappings

Battleline
40 x Saurus Warriors (330)
- Spears

Total: 490 / 500
Extra Command Points: 0
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 48

And

Allegiance: Seraphon

Leaders
Skink Priest (80)
- Priestly Trappings
Skink Starpriest (80)

Battleline
10 x Skinks (70)
- Boltspitters & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks (70)
- Boltspitters & Star Bucklers

Units
1 x Razordons (50)

Behemoths
Troglodon (140)

Total: 490 / 500
Extra Command Points: 0
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 43

Either list would give them plenty of learning opportunities playing out both Melee poundings and mobility objective grabbing. Hope that works

Nice idea!! Thanks man I will definitely try that out :)

I think I see some nice 1k possibilities there, but for the basics I would also recommend starting with a few units and play at 500 or so, and without bataillons for now.
Just a few dudes and one or two heroes to learn how the game basically plays.
Won't be very balanced at 500 but that's not the point.

@Lizerd's lists are fine for that. Although my money would be on the big blob of Saurus in that case.

For 1k you could a nice little "Saurus vs. Skinks" battle.

Saurus:

Allegiance: Seraphon

Leaders
Saurus Sunblood (120)
Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (240)
- General
- Trait: Mighty War Leader

Battleline
40 x Saurus Warriors (330)
- Spears
10 x Saurus Warriors (90)
- Clubs
10 x Saurus Warriors (90)
- Clubs

Battalions
Sunclaw Starhost (130)

Total: 1000 / 1000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 79

Skinks:

Allegiance: Seraphon

Leaders
Skink Starpriest (80)
- General
Skink Priest (80)
- Priestly Trappings

Battleline
10 x Skinks (70)
- Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks (70)
- Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers

Units
2 x Razordons (100)
3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (280)

Battalions
Shadowstrike Starhost (180)

Total: 1000 / 1000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 51

No summoning but bataillons in that one.
I'd say both lists have a chance to win it.

I'd also recommend playing a game with objectives.
Straight up killing the enemy is nice, but objectives add a tactical layer and IMO they make the game more balanced, too. There are lists in this game that can never win by kills but are still awesome.

Genius! I was thinking of doing the same, I even got to make two 1400 points lists, with the Saurus one having a Slann (in a miniature fangs of sotek) with two endless spells to introduce the use of them, as well as unbinding and maybe a little summoning. The skinks army has every skinky dino basically. Thank you Aginor!
