Hi gang,

I have dug up an old Tamiya T-Rex model that I purchased years ago to convert for Siege (I think I was going to use him as a "siege tower"). Looking over the rules for the Dread-Saurian, I'm keen to convert and use him in that capacity. Is he too large (or small) to count as the Dread-Saurian (old LM warrior is included for scale)? Let me know what you think...

From the picture it looks similar size I think to the Forgeworld one - really nice t-rex model too

I don't own a Dread Saurian model, but judging from the picture on the forgewold site, your conversion model seems to be a very well scaled. Should make for a great conversion!!

Thanks guys. The general consensus from you and a few other sources are that the size is pretty close, close enough to not catch any/much grief about it at game sessions.

And yes, I love this old Tamiya kit. Around the same time, I also picked up four box sets of the velociraptors that they made to use as cold ones (back when only skinks rode on them), so I still have two dozen of those guys kicking around as well, though they seem a bit small to support a saurus riding them. I wish that the rules included some kind of pack-animal group, like dire-wolves, for the Lizarmen/Seraphon. I'd definitely use them for that.

There was an old animal handler model it seems maybe you could do something with that?

I've been in Warhammerworld last year and i had the opportunity to see the real Dread.
It is twice the size of the plastic Carnosaur.
However i like the idea of using that t-rex

I found some measurements in another thread, so I'm going to compare those once I get home tonight. And I'll need to dig up (or make) an appropriately-sized base. And then I'll need to start sculpting some armor/plates, horns, etc...

If you have it, try using the great trimmed plate on the kit of the stegadon.
I think that it would look great as a sort of crown or a breast plate. Then you can use cooking rope to do the barded lace around the dino body. I hope that theese suggestion might help you ;)

Ah I see I thought it was something similar wasn't sure

Great suggestions, Clause. And I think Clause is talking about the twine you use to tie up a pork loin, or something along those lines, Huanchi...

edit: Sorry, got my users switched...
