Wow....that's not what I had envisioned after seeing the artwork for it. I don't think it is a bad model in and of itself, I just don't like the representation of the artwork from MA.
The tail must curve at that part where it appears to get suddenly smaller and I think the tail must gradually decrease in size realistically and it must just be the angle that makes it look so weird. Otherwise, the tail is terrible.
