Afternoon ladys and gents

I decided to treat myself to a new toy for my lizard men
As I've always wanted one since it was released it had to be a dread saurian
It's such a lovely model and a dream to build.
I've hit a wall as to what colours to paint it, I'm thinking grey skin with a dark blue scales on top

Has anyone got any painted ones I can see for inspiration?

Congrats! Im really hoping Ill be able to get one someday, veey jealous and excited to see the progress!

Its not a DS but its sorta what youre looking for, the underbelly/soft tissue is feridian grey washed with nightshade I believe while the scales are kantor blue base with hoeth blue for the stripes and then washed with drakemhof nightshade and then a light wash of telesar blue contrast

It didn't quite come out the colour I had in my head or was expecting but I really like it

Happens from time to time, but with some dry brushing and washes its gonna look spectacular. Excited to see more

Getting me inspired to work on my Thunder Lizard a bit more
 
That was a quick paintjob for such a model... He looks great!

The gold and jewelry might benefit from a highlight though ;)

For such a quick paint job he looks great!

I however would suggest maybe at a later say doing some of the symbols on his headdress to help it stand out more, but thats just me maybe

I'll be honest I've been surprised at how quickly its come together but with no work I've been hitting this hard
I only assembled him monday

I'll take your advice onboard and probably do a few bits when I base him (the base I want to be quite plane)
Would you keep the symbols all that green colour or change to something else?

Id personally throw some brighter colors in there like oranges, warmer colors, or even brighter greens/blues. Your overall palette is pretty cool oriented, having something to pop a little will help it stand out even more
