i just completed the standard bearer for my spear-men unit I really like the way he turned out check out Thorak the un-blooded ^_^

Your army is looking exceptional Bracnos! I like using the more natural colors too (my army is black and deep green) but loving the glossy crystal affect you're going with with some of the standards.

To help you with your modding have you heard of Green stuff? It can be used for sculpting and helping keep pieces together from two disparate sets. I personally haven't used it but I know some other folks here have. Not sure if we have a specific forum or Q and A forum in regards to that. But sometimes with modding whatever works goes! So if the plastic his really holding that way for the Cold One necks then excellent choice!
 
Here is an update on the ones i have completed so far for my spear unit...i don't know if i want to do more with the bases or just keep it simple, but now the i have seen the saraphon book and i like how they now have some designs on the shields. So im going to have to take some time and see which one i will go with.

I ust competed my drummer for my spear unit i tried new things...still new at this and i hope by the time i complete my ground force i will be ready to take on my old blood on the carnosaur :pompus: any comments and criticism is welcome i really wan tot get good at this :singing:

Btw how much of the crystal green did you make? A whole pot? ;)
 
LOL thanks, @tom ndege i learned how to create the same effect by painting in layers...takes a bit longer but now i wont loose any more paint :singing:
 
@Bracnos

Teeth, Nails and Horns.

Base coat a tan/brown first, then paint off white/cream leaving a bit of tan/brown showing were it meets the gum/toe/body, then take pure white and dot the very end of the teeth/nails/horns.

What you can do to the musician take a brown wash (Agrax earthshade) and lightly strike the teeth at the gum line.
 
Thanks @Crowsfoot ill give that a try on my next one...i did try a bit of that with my converted cold one...i tried using a Mattel coat for the skin/scales and then a glossy coat for the gold/crystal

So my wife just gave me a set of terradon riders for my Birthday and i want to get the most out of them i can. As such i want to make them interchangeable between both forms of the models. Do any of you have a suggestion on what size magnets i should use for the heads/legs/arms/weapons...and/or any other piece i might need to magnetize ^_^
