The light/life dual combo slann is always sickening, especially with cupped hands on the light slann so both normally get the chance to ignore a miscast. I still take the EotG quite often as a backup to my TG block. The EotG stays behind the TG block guarding against rear and flank attack while buffing or burning as appropriate. As my slann normally has life, the main vulnerability of the EotG ends up being the priest, so he often ends up with the 4+ ward talisman just to keep the model around longer.
That's my problem is the skink priest had a stupid goblin send a bolt thrower through him on game and then the engine was about useless or at least out for two turns for him to get into a position to be useful. Stupid bolt throwers how I hate them. Probably go back to it in a while right now just running and ancient steg.
That must of been a lucky shot. As i recall, he has to roll to hit then randomise to see what he hits. 1-4 its the steg, 5 its crew, only a 6 actually hits the preist on top. Yours Aye Mixer
hi guys. I´m not sure if anyone of you have said this earlier since i only swept the replies with my eyes but here it goes: 1. the rules for the eotg have changed a bit. I dont have it in my head but here´s a errata page from gw: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1610148a_FAQ_Lizardmen_V1_3.pdf here´s all erratas in the new book. sry for bad english there i think. 2. oh, mixer86, was that 5k game played with the 7th or 8th edition?? if id was played in the 8th ed and i understand the list correctly, it was illegal. you can only have 2 of the same rare choises and you had 3x3 sallies. 3. myself, i find eotg very usefull.
It was using 8th edition rules but they kinda wavered the odd thing here and there, other wise we'd of been struggling to field 5k on both sides of the board. Yours Aye Mixer
