Any opinions on these lists? Are any of the owners on here and want to claim their work?

Interesting lists, i never would use two slann, because they are to vulnerable... but i see no saurus warriors at all.. even because they are an awesome anvil to me! with a lore of life slann.

if i see this lists, i need more terradons and skinks! :)
 
I don't understand all these double-Slann builds when magic is so heavily nerfed. I do think big Skrox units can often be better than saurus warriors of equal points due to their speed and immunity to stomps, so I'm not surprised to see them.
 
Yeah its lists like these that I'm finally breaking out a double slann list in our 2996 pt tourney. And it was still tight ending up with combat blocks. I cant imagine running two slanns at 2400 but apparently it does well.
 
That remains to be seen.

I will be interested to see how such lists actually fare.
 
These are also incredibly skilled players at work. The are playing 2400 points with only two combat blocks but with a ton of skirmishers and terradons as redirectors. Would love to be there to watch the games.
 
Only finally kicked in that no one, no one is bringing saurus warriors. Crazy.
 
First off I suppose i should own up to being team irelands lizardmen player for this year.

Unless Im mistaken at least 2 teams(singapore and sweden) are bring double blocks of saurus warriors.

The reason most dont use saurus is that they dont beat other things that are good in the 'etc meta' for want of a better description. Saurus tend to lose against all but the poorest monsterous beasts/inf/cav units, cant take other elite inf(white lions, beastigor, hammerers etc) either and get ruined by monsters due to thunderstomp.

skinks die just as easily to these threats as saurus but cost less and in skrox units cant be stomped. with krox they also hit back much harder against t4+ and the generally high armor save.

Double slann is for the flexibility in spells rather than anything else. it allows you to split the ld bubble( one is general one is bsb) which is vital for skink cloud armies. as for protection i just have mine hop between skink units.


Edit: as to the excellent players comment i cant speak for the rest but I'm no warhammer genius.
As for performance most lizard lists at the etc are designed to take bad matchups from the rest of the team and try for a draw. so most will average 50-60 points over the 6 games. As this is my first year if I get 50 I'll be happy.

I'm going to bet that he misread the comp which hits units under 20 as units of 20 or under
