Whist we’re on the subject of Video Games I may as well post a few more! https://youtu.be/NKr7ZKSsODA https://youtu.be/pgqesFiXKPs https://youtu.be/4jQ_NbelyZE With the Sun track, if you like that sort of thing, what do you make of these? https://youtu.be/SeuuYqviYno https://youtu.be/EhE6SDtoV20
Why am I not surprised that you put at least 1 How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack as your contribution? I'll raise you with these three from Kung Fu Panda 2:
Pretty sad. Fits Mad max's theme really well (though i'm not really familiar with it) The song is a remix based off one of "Blind" Willie Johnson's songs. He lost his eye sight when his step mother threw lye on his face in rage when he was only a young boy. He died in the ruins of his burned down home when no hospital could admit him in 1945.
Just discovered this today... and i can't stop listening. It epitomizes everything so amazing about post-rock. The video uses some images that fit incredibly well with the song's tone. Inspired from its imagery, i can imagine black clouds obscuring the expansive skies above as the violent winds ebb and flow. A single splinter of grass looks on and on nonetheless. I'm not so sure, but i feel that the song's message and tone is to push through difficult times no matter what.
Been drawn to this thread by one of @NIGHTBRINGER ’s memes from the Just For Laughs thread: Luckily I can use Lustria Online. There is one particular piece of music that for the life of me I can’t remember the name of. I by chance found this video that captures some of the melody: Unfortunately the maker of the video has disallowed comments so I can’t ask them where it’s from - do any of you have any idea?
I do believe this is what you’re looking for: However, if I were you I would instead go for the original and in my opinion far, far superior version by Tracy Chapman:
I know how you feel - I spent ages trying to find out what this song was, of which my only reference was what was in my head. It felt so good to finally have it! (A lot of you will probably recognise it - it’s not an obscure piece even if you don’t know its exact name)
^ that's from a Japanese mini mod for Forgotten Hope, which in itself, is a mod for a game called Battlefield 1942. BTW this song is a version of "Forbidden Colors" that seemingly can't be found anywhere else. Here's the original version of the song. I think it encapsulates the sorrow and the carnage caused by the second world war pretty well with Japanese acoustics. The song starts off pretty mellow, but then gradually rises to a crescendo near the end before leveling off. Forgotten Hope's main theme does what the first song did, but with much more bombastic instruments, and stays that way throughout.
Let me share the band that pictures the most vivid images of fantasy stories right into ones head: Morathi, is that you? Escaping the trolls? When you wake up to this you might accidentally get confused with a dragon and try to remove some of your furniture with your mighty flame
