Wow that speeder is amazing!

I know I liked your droids and previous clone troopers, but this one blows the rest of them out of the water holy carp! :wideyed::wideyed::wideyed:

Thank you so much :)

Awesome work man, the weathering is superb :wideyed:
And I love magnets, so:woot::woot:

Great, great work

Grrr, Imrahil

Thank you, the weathering was really fun!
Sorry to disappoint but no magnets involved in this one. The whole thing dry fits together really well and makes it easy to swap parts.

Hello there.

Obi-Wan is finished. This mini was my first attempt at OSL, I think it came out okay but could definitely be better. Overall I'm happy with the finished mini though so I guess that's all that matters haha.

Only got Grievous left to do from the SWL core set but we've not had good enough weather for me to prime him. So I think I'll focus on getting more minis built and ready to prime for when we eventually get a nice enough day.

I must say all of your models look fantastic!

I am really interested in the way you've done the spear tips of your Saurus, would you be willing to share the paints and techniques you've used at all? (Apologies if I missed the explanation earlier in the thread, I couldn't see it as I scrolled through)

Yesterday I managed to finish of the 5 saurus that I was painting (see pics). I've also started building my stegadon howdah and base coating the beast itself.
Also check out the close ups of my obsidian spear tips.View attachment 55876 View attachment 55876 View attachment 55877

Thank you so much! :)

The spear tips are first painted Vallejo Turquoise, then they were covered in a heavy glaze of black so that only the odd bit of turquoise shows through in rough patches underneath (I have since started using Black Templar contrast paint for this step). They are then drybrushed with turquoise again focusing mostly on the edges.

Finally finished catching up on the thread. My guy, the stuff you've done over the past few months is phenomenal. Looking forwards to seeing more of your works in the future :)

That really means a lot man, thank you :)

It's been slow going recently but I'm trying to make myself do more painting haha

Thanks very much for the run down, I may have to try it on mine. As to turquoise, is that roughly similar to the Sotek Green / Temple Guard Blue side of things do you think?

I believe it is quite close in colour to Sotek Green. You could make it work with almost any colour though I think haha.
I did forget a step above too BTW, I give the weapon tips a coat of gloss varnish too to shine them up. Entirely optional though :)

Loving your work so far mate. Keep up the good work.
