Thanks! So I guess the things missing from your list are the expensive ones costing 24 points. A Basti, Stega, and Carnosaur. Sad about Kroxigor not dropping to 140.
Presumably, though the Tzeentch table goes all the way up to 36. That being said they generate points more easily than we do.
Yeah the only thing I could imagine being that expensive would be a Dread Saurian. And I doubt they will let us summon that one.
Updated with Command Traits, Artefact and Battalion changes. With the new summoning changes it's not surprising that the Dracothian's Tail battalion has been completely changed up. Deepstriking stuff all over the place might be good, especially as the Battalion only costs 80 points. The Saurus Command Traits seem a bit more viable now. A free command point on a 5+ is an extra 1 or 2 each game on average. Rerolling all 1's to hit is good, though if it affected mounts it would be much better. Trouble is that if you're taking a Slaan you will virtually always make them then General since that's the best way to generate summoning points. However, since when your General is slain you then pick another model to be your general and generate a new Command Trait for them, any buffs are good to have. The Artefacts are a mixed bag. I can't see the Incandescent Rectrices change as anything other than a nerf; sure it's 1D6 wounds healed now but it only removes allocated wounds and it doesn't teleport you away anymore. The Prism of Amyntok is a big buff; the unit can still move, and instead of D3 on a 3+ you're guaranteed at least 1, with the chance for D6.
Uhh.. how is that a bad thing? "Previously allocated wounds" is the standard wording GW uses for general healing. The teleporting being gone is sad but bearable. The rest sounds good.
I guess he was one of the many victims of "wording". I 've met many people that thought it didn't work as healing because it said "the last wound" so if he had 1 wound left and 5 were dealt to him, they would just rez him on 3+ instead of not rolling at all !
New rules specify that abilities on warscrolls win over general core rules. So, Kroak is back to multiple casting of his spell?
Sure, i know it's a weak point of this assumption… but at least now we have a rule that explicitly says that specific trumps general (which is as it should be), so it's not a long shot to assume that the rules of the specific warscroll have the priority, even if not listed under "abilities". And old FAQ now have no weight on the matter.
Unless FAQed otherwise, yes. Evocators also list their exception to the normal limit of casting their spell under magic, so if Kroak's exception doesn't apply, neither would the exception for Evocators. But, that would be weird, because Evocators are a new unit to AoS 2, and having something written on their warscroll that can't be used at all (unless spells are considered warscroll abilities) would just be weird.
Indeed, we still have it. The others just have longer unbinds, too. Not as long as ours though so we still have an advantage.
Matched play, Open and narrative have very different rulesets and the warscrolls are written to work in all three. I would not bet on Kroak being able to cast his spell multiple times, but I hope he can. Could that mean that Ripperdactyls will start biting like crazy?
