Sorry everyone, I missed one of the entries - and somehow it was Essmir.

To try to patch things up I have:

  • Put his entry at the end of the second post and put him in the poll.
  • Unlocked the poll so you can all change your votes. I will lock it again in a week.
  • Allocated everyone an extra vote (5 in total) because Essmir brought the total number of entries to 16
Sorry again. But you didn't really think I could do something this complex and important without being random, did you?

Fool of a Bob! I think my extra might go straight to essmir because it's great and because of his maltreatment at the hand's of artzifartzi's preists. It looks like it could be from Tlac'Natai's fluff....or am I imagining it?

Or vote later after someone gives me reassurance it will not hurt anyone's feelings
The best cure for hurt feelings is verbal praise not vote - so tell everyone what you liked when you saw it.

one day I will show you my wip for this contest (if I get a mean to get mail it to lustria via terradon mail)
Hey, you missed the cut off for voting, but it is my plan to collect any late entries into the final gallery post. So get cracking. You can use the old comp thread to get get technical help if needed, or PM someone.

I almost don't want to update mine for the sheer fact self loathing is a Medium I work in well
And pants too, I hope.

Hard to choose, pfft mascara. I have my slightly crazy sketchy style. Neat doesn't exist for me apparently.
Forget neat. You got my first vote. I still can't work out how you made something look so dynamic with what looks like a paucity of detail / colour / colouring between the lines. Although, if you are that messy while applying make-up...

I love the medium for mine XD Shame the image looks really dark on some screens :(
I am picturing you in your penthouse, surrounded by floating screens. Like Tony Stark.

PANTS HAHA! What a silly thought, PANTS!

Kilts are where its at!

OKay but in all seriousness, its hard having to choose, even with the option to vote for 4, what a great showing guys!

Guys, you all are great! (and some of you REALLY great)
Leaving aside a couple of stunning images, I don't know yet which ones I will vote for... but I know that Aartzifartzi is pleased. :)

...but it fits @Essmir 's own A Day in the Life of a Temple City, too.

Since we are talking about it, @pendrake 's "The Monument" might have something to do with @pendrake 's "The Monument" from the same story comp as well.

I thought! @Essmir 's drawing reminded me of one of the recent stories.

Mine is indeed a go at illustrating my own short story...

...It is "The Monument of Loquatzla"...

...at some point I have the notion of combining both Tzlatoc stories and this pic in a single thread.

Where should WiP pix for the art be placed? ...in the other contest thread? This thread?

Bowser - curiously insightful and thought provoking. who are you and what have you done with bowser? (actually now that I think about it your written work is also quite perceptive....do you have a doppelganger who does your comp entries for you?!)

I have been known to be insightful on occasion when I am not fighting with plumbers over a princess, racing, playing tennis and golf, crashing Mario parties, and brawling with smashed bros!
It originally said "What the hell good are the memories of the memory. " sounded too tough guy trying to be tough. "What good is the memory of a memory?" just somehow seemed sadder to me. Sort of empathizing with the people who built their worlds on old fluff, and are struggling to get their carefully crafted characters and worlds into AOS. Which also raises the question of what is left of the character if he or she is just a memory of their outward persona?

Things getting very deep here in the visual art contest.

Or were you talking about fighting the plumbers? Those guys have it coming to them! ;)

Dear Bob,

I wish to make a complaint about the amount of votes allocated to each voter. Even extended to five votes, there is not simply enough for us poor voters. I realise that this is a frequent problem for most forum based competitions where the entrants are terrifyingly good. I thus suggest you extend the vote allocation to sixteen votes for each voter to ease the agony of having to prune through to a mere five choices. Maybe seventeen votes.

A totally anonymous Not-Skaven.

Joking letters aside, by the Horned Rat Lizard! That was horrible to break down even to five. Thirteen thousands cheers to the entrants, lest they use my totally not verminous hide as a canvas next! :D

The bottom element (where it says LUSTRIA ONLINE):
How about adding an embossed glyph or a lizardman shield design right at the center of the other three faces?

OR

Subtracting some steps from each of the three empty faces (only about as wide as the face is tall) right at the center. Then, put a gold embossed glyph design in the middle of each granite face. (As if tiny priests were supposed to walk up and touch the glyph.)

I think the pyramid portion, the upper part, is about perfect.

The base does indeed need something more to it. I was planning a bit of a redesign to make room for names of winners (should this actually be a thing).
I really like the step idea! maybe I could use the default avatar. That or Kroaks mask.

Glad you like the pyramid! I tried for a happy joining of Old World and Azyr ;P
