Thought this might be of interest to some here. I am chronicling the campaign I'm currently involved in.

This is the first post: http://findingthenaq.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/gone-with-whirlwind-of-magical.html

It's kind of a tongue in cheek Pratchett-esque style, so probs not for fluff purists. Got absolutely massacred in my first battle, which is described in the second post.

Lizard love x

PS: if anyone's around north london and would like to the join the campaign, we're looking for extra players!

Thanks! Well fortunately in the campaign rules, when someone dies, you roll a D6 - only on a 1 followed by a 6 are they actually removed from the campaign. Ra Phee-Ki officially "died" in the first game (run down when he fled), but the roll meant he could continue but had lost his epic blade of realities. Hopefully he'll win it back if I beat the high elves in the future :) I have no intention of letting anyone I like actually die for good :)

Huan Dae’req-Shon - Bound and Gagged! (My wildest dream)

So get out, get out, get out of my head
And fall onto my spears instead
I don't, I don't, don't know what it is
But I need that one thing
And you've got that Naq’otek-yotl’queztl’ra’tzui-huan’chipotli’zaq-khan

I'm glad you gave the long haired louts their comeuppance at last. Shame the steg bomb backfired.

HAHAHAHA! Glad you got the (not so subtle) reference.

My Saurus leaders are going to form a boy band with Skink Chief Ini-Go taking the high part of their beautiful harmonies. The lizard ladies will love them!

But yes that battle taught me the importance of paying the extra 35 points for upgrading stegs to ancient with sharpened horns - the regular steg was about as effective as a Lustrian gnat, while Muphasa kicked ass.

Thanks so much Bob and others for the compliments and dragging me back to Lustria! Been reading some fluff here and remembering how much I missed it - there's so much great stuff! I'd love to do something for the next story contest if there is one! Also finally played a couple of 9th age games so might write those up if I get some time :)

New post: http://findingthenaq.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/100-millenia-of-attitude.html

As you can see, I have succumbed to the lure of the 9th side, partly because I can't be bothered getting to grips with all the new fluff for age of sigmar. On the other hand, while I'm largely a fan of the 9th age rules, I am a tad upset by the complete lack of fluff support....although I do like the idea that the people actually living in the universe find the transition from 8th to 9th unsettling, bizarre and basically anti-climactic.

I wrote the first paragraph of this post like 2 years ago when I was re-reading Cien Anos de Soledad, one of my favourite books in the world, and suddenly realised that this specific battle report would be the perfect time to develop it into a story. If you haven't read the source material, I apologise for the niche references.

Heh - nicely done "inside view" :)

While I'm personally in the AoS camp, I'm really looking forward to seeing how 9th Age develops - especially if it means we get more of your blog!
