Oh ok. Thanks Woogity for clearing up that for me. Just put me on the list along with all the other guys that came late. Also, I can not wait to see the next thing you make. It will probably be just as awesome. Thanks again for these beauties and for responding so quick to my first message. Hope everything works out for you in the future. Good Luck

HI EVERY ONE! I was on this site a long time ago and looking at pickin up my lizardmen and getting back into it and these are THE best models I HAVE EVERY SEEN! me want me want me want! They are Sooooooo cool!

Just got my models yesterday and decided to write a short review on them. You can see it on my blog:

http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/caprasauridaes-lizardmen-finished-woogitoxigor.9002/

In short? They are of awesome quality and really well designed and printed! The details are crisp although not as plentiful as GWs recent sculpts. Still, the ease of building them and how the pieces just click together show the skillful design. And they are every bit as beautiful as they were in the pictures on the first page! Thank you, woogity!

Wow! plz make some xtras! I would love to order some as I am converting some myself. If you have the Book "Storm of Magic", you will know that there is some lizard mage thing. I am counting on converting a mix between Kroxigors and Dragon Ogres to make a great look. The look perfect for a conversion.
Another thing I like about these are that they are bigger than regular kroxigors, which is a great part of your design.
Super work!

hey woogity
i just started to play and i actualy did not consider to use kroxis in the near future cause they are in my oppinion hidious. you... err... changed that xD they really look fantastic. congrats to that.

as im thinking about modeling my own tetto or cowboy i have some technical questions

1) what 3dprogramm did you use? as im trained in maya ill propably do it there. zbrush and the like are not really mine... im more into "engeneering" my stuff and not into sculpting :P

2) polycount ples xD

3) why exactly not shapeways? i think their distributing would come in handy.

4) why did you print them in parts and not fully assembled? i thought that was one of the big upsides of 3dprinting

5) it looks like they are solid parts. hollowing them out and putting in only a bit of structures to make them more resistant would cut on material costs and make them cheaper without loosing much in resistance to breaking...

yeah. thats from me. would be nice to hear some thoughts about that. i feel that 3d printing does a lot for the community and perhaps will make GW sooner or later think about how they price their stuff and how they handle the community ;) (everytime i think about a 40euro tetto, i wanna rage D: )

thanks anyways. as i said, great models, keep up the good work. may the old ones guide you ;P

If anyone bails out, or doesn't get back to you I really don't mind being moved forward to the first group.

Just saying.... ;)

Hello,

great work man. Is there still a chance to get these beauties? I know I'm pretty late to this but no harm in asking though. :)

Hello,

These models are incredible and I would also like to know if there's still a way I could get hold of a few sets of these. I know that I'm a bit late for asking but I was just hoping. Thank you

Hey there happy to help out.
1. Models were made in Zbrush, Equipment was blocked out in 3dStudio Max and then finished in Zbrush.

2. o i think its something like 16 million per character.

3. Few reasons. Ownage has the highest quality prints I have seen on the market being the biggest reason, and also they do molding and casting for mass production. as far as I can tell Shapeways has much cheaper prints, but at a lower quality, and they do not do castings, which in the long run will make Ownage cheaper as well... tho I do loathe the data entry side of this XD.

4.They are in parts for 3 reasons. 1. they are molded and cast, It would be impossible to easily mold and cast these guys in one piece. 2. It is safer to ship them in pieces than as one big fragile piece. 3. it could be very difficult to paint certain areas if it were all one piece.

5. You are right on all counts. they are solid and hollowing them out would make them lighter and cheaper. few reasons they are solid. firstly they are molded, and it would be alot more surface area and thus much more likely to have mold lines/flash/ect. but the main reason is that it dosn't make too much of a difference price wise, and is alot more work to set up. the resin these are made of is dirt cheap in terms of cost per unit the difference would probably be somewhere in the $2 per set range.

Hey if it helps I can send you some money for "shipping" do you have PayPal?

thx for responding woogity :)

i assumed they were printed and not cast, so yeah. hollowing them out would be kinda retarded as you cant cast hollow structures. for the stuff not being one solid piece... i think ill have to take painting and shipping into consideration. better to think ahead than to regret later ;)

most of the other questions on the fabricating side took into account that they would be printed. shapeways for instance bills you for material used + small handling fee. so thats why i thought of hollowing. it will defenitely cut the bill there. but... i think i will have to look into the quality of the prints again if you say ownage is superior... nobody likes to make a 16million poly model and have it suck in the end caus of the resolution of the printer :/ meh. back to research... though what ive seen so far looked quite good. well see ^^

I just signed in at Lustria because of your great work, Sir! How will I become a proud owner of two sets? Set my name on your list please!

&: I hate that ugly Salamanders and did not found attractive alternative models/conversions. Maybe a project in future?

I... I have a mighty need but im also currently broke *cries* how much are these any ways? (I know you are only getting them made in limited batches)

i sent you an e-mail also sent you the expenses for the shipping, did not get response via email. Im assuming everything is OK.

Cant wait to get started
