Another small update, made in relation to the posts in the Kings of war thread and this piece of artwork. http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/kings-of-war-lizardmen-beta-list.16722/page-2#post-137923 This was sort of what I was hinting at in my post, there will be loads more to come, but it will be part of a larger tutorial. You'll see exactly what I've been hinting at, get a much better idea of layering from the images and hopefully a big confidence kick.
Just been reading through this blog, all your work is just amazing. The time you put into your sculpts is commendable, I don't have the patience. Your eye for detail and consideration for anatomy is unreal. Looking forward to your future work. Bravo!
Thank you both, You'll be surprised how long it doesn't actually take, I can complete an entire line of teeth in a jaw in less than an hour, it's not too long. The tutorial probably won't be up until this weekend, this is going to be a long week at work, so trying to stick it altogether in one evening isn't really going to happen unfortunately.
I've been watching your work for a long time, since your t-Rex like nakai you made ages ago. I just wanted to post this to let you know that you are making a difference and that you should be really proud of what you've accomplished over the years. I learned it all from your stuff man, thank you.
@Nakai I love it when someone gives praise to people that share their knowledge with us all you deserve a @Rikard Don't think you have had one of these of me yet so,
I'm happy with it, already thinking about the next one. The only thing I wish I had done was got a smoother finish on the bracers on his arms, any advice?
GW NEED to hire you to re-model the Kroxigor kits. That model of yours is absolutely divine. It is exactly how I picture Kroxigor should be. Keep up the fab work!
Don't sweat it, I don't use files on green stuff, they end to do more harm then good to it. Never regret decisions, everything you do will ultimately be learned from, whether it's good or bad. - As for the bracers, pace yourself, so use less putty when you make things like them, build up with extra layers, which you allow to dry and then do a final detail layer over the top. The advantages for this mean you can cut parts to shape in the armature stage if it's too big or not smooth enough. When you do your final detail layer, keep reworking it, do a bit, put it aside from 30 minutes, then come back to it, keep re-working with push-pull motions until it gets to the stage you'd like it. Mine isn't a kroxigor. >>
Yet another update, sorry to be a let down but I wasn't able to get the chance or time to stick the next segment together, which is a royal pain I was hoping to have it done. :/ Will do everything I can to sort it ASAP and post it.
