    Next list example.

@darren watson 's list, formerly at 2000 points:

    Allegiance: Order

    Heroes
    Lord Kroak (540)
    - General
    Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160)
    - Phoenix Stone
    Skink Starseer (160)
    - Phoenix Stone
    Skink Starpriest (100)

    Battleline
    10 x Skinks (80)
    - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers
    10 x Skinks (80)
    - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers
    10 x Skinks (80)
    - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers

    Units
    6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280)

    Behemoths
    Bastiladon (300)

    Battalions
    Shadowstrike Starhost (120)

    Scenery
    Balewind Vortex (100)

    Total: 2000/2000

This one gets 100 points cheaper:
    - Basti -20
    - Starpriest -20
    - Shadowstrike +50
    - Skinks 3x -20
    - Starseer +40 (I still think that's a typo)
    - Kroak -90

Why do you guys think thei increased the points of the oldblood.

My only thought is that you can teleport a large unit of twmple guard and than use the comand ability of the oldblood to move them 3 inches closer to the enemy and than make a 6inch charge.

But apart from that I dont see why he is 120 pts its seems a little expensive.

Also, the astrolith bearer I though would have a points reduxtion... He is nowhere near as good as a blood secrator and yet I believe he is more expenaive

I also think this is a typo, it doesnt have a star next to it as it should if the points where supposed to be changed

I'm thinking about this build :)
Skink Chief and Dread Saurian 2000:

    Heavenwatch 200
    Starseer 200
    Skink priest 80
    Starpriest 80
    3 units of 40 Skinks 600
    Bastiladon 280

    Skink Chief 60 (general)
    Skink Starpriest 80
    Dread Saurian 400
    1980

    2500 version:
    + unit of 40 Skinks 200
    + Stegadon 240
    + Skink Priest 80

The reason for the Skink chief is because of his +1 to hit command, which works nicely on a screening Skinks unit or tanking+stalling Bastiladon. That and we don't have many options for commands ;p

Buffing my to teleport Bastiladon/ Dread Saurian with +1 to hit and -1 to be hit, as well as rerolls on charge and saves and a +1 armor would allow me to send him in to deal damage and soak up, while my 120 Skinks would move in to dart them down :)

And I hope that that is indeed a typo, unless the star was just forgotten? Perhaps anyone could ask in a faq?

From the top of my head:
A Bataillon from the Grand Alliance Order book. A mixture of Shadowstrike (strike from the skies) and Thunderquake (monsters heal) led by a Starseer.

A heavenswatch is one of our more "recent" batallions. It has a Starseer, 2 Skink priest/Priest/Troglodon, and then Skinks and Skink related units. Basically it allows your Starseer to pick 1 target, and all your units from the batallion can reroll hit and wound rolls of 1 against that enemy. Your monster units will also heal for 1 wound per round. So you could pick a target from afar with your Starseer, and then teleport in 40 Skinks for 40 attacks with 3+ to hit (2+ if buffed by the Skink Chief), 5+ to wound, and rerolls on rolls of 1's. Put them in terrain nearby (16" range on their attacks), and buff them with all your heroes prior to its teleport, and attacks against it will have a -1 penalty to hit, and it will have a save of 4+ with rerolls and immunity to -1 rend :)

Also there seems to be some confusion whether the points we have from the leak are actually correct. Bob from warofsigmar says that his preview version of the GHB2017 contains some different points values. There are several possible reasons for this such as the translated version (or the other one) already containing fixes.

Just saying, take all those leaks with a grain of salt.

I thought we could only take SCE as allies?

It is from the "Grand Alliance: Order" book.

That's correct, since we can only pick SCE as our allies we cannot take the Loremaster without losing our allegiance, so that is not an option. You could use a SCE hero for support though. Maybe a Lord-Relictor and use his Lightning Storm to cause some mortal wounds. A Lord-Celestant would also work, he is a pretty strong melee hero and can also cause mortal wounds. Or maybe a Knight-Azyros, which buffs shooting (reroll hits of 1) and also isn't bad in melee.

Agree. If you compare him with a blood secrator he is roughly at the same level. In some situations I would say he is a bit better, but not that much. At double the price that's....meh. 100 or 120 points would be OK for the Astrolith Bearer but I think they decided to keep it expensive because it synergizes with Kroak so well.

As for the Oldblood: Really strange. I mean, he's not bad but if you compare it to a Lord-Castellant or something similar he was just OK for 100 points, not really strong. I think I used that command ability once. It isn't bad but I wouldn't call it game-breaking either. As it is now 120 is overpriced IMO. But maybe we get a bataillon where he rocks? Something like that.

    Hmmm

First army to receive a Battletome and now we are allied with SCE?

Good way to sell more SCE as we won't be getting any new Seraphon soon, that's how I see it anyhow.
