I like the skin and scale colors you did. Bold choice to go with White, but you pulled it off. Little comments to maybe improve the model a bit (this is my View, so do with it what you will ) - I would give the skull on his head an extra wash and then only Edge highlight it, to make More of a distinction with the skin. - the shaft of his weapons might look beter If you picked another Color, it is a lot of white-ish on that side now. Keep up the good work Grrr, Imrahil
I got Wyldwood for the weapon shaft, wraithbone was just the base, that's the plan anyway. I plan to highlight the stone of the weapon with lighter grey. Yea some of the darker skull tones show up a little in person but I was thinking the same thing, I covered to much of the Skeleton Horde up on the helmet. It's why I left his teeth and claws with the raw Skeleton Horde wash. He was my first to get the color combinations down, I think the rest of the unit will go better and the Warriors will be much easier being Skinnier and less bits/detail. Thanks You for the Help.
I think even badly done pupils make models look better, more lifelike, than with no pupils at all. ...I still suvk at painting them so most of my Saurus dont have pupils. They are just too small for me. My Skinks on the other hand all have pupils now. I draw them with a thin black pen instead of a brush though.
So not sure what to do for the shield on my standard bearer. I did put a wash on it. Not sure if just a highlight of Stormhost will do or changing the mouth of the emblem to and orange or red. Also I plan on putting soulstone blue on the eye of it.
