Hey,

Just getting started with lizardmen. I really, really don't like the Saurus Cav models; the Dark Elf ones are sweet for sure, but I think I'd like to go with the old "Godzilla" ones that people hated back in the day.

I searched a bit, but couldn't find an answer to this question: has anyone tried mounting the new plastic Saurus riders on the Godzilla cold one? Does it require much converting for a decent fit?

Secondly, is there any place to get those Godzilla cold ones anymore? I don't see them in the admittedly tiny classic/bits section of their site. And curiously the dark elf chariot that still uses them is missing in action.

The DE chariot has been missing for a long time.. It led to much speculation about a new one coming out.

As far as I know nobody has tried it. Chances are they will not fit perfectly since they are not made for them, but a bit of chopping and GS work should fix it up.
If they aren't on the GW website they might be hard to find. Your best bet would probably be ebay.
 
The new saddles should fit on the old battle cows pretty easily,
as they are somewhat adjustable... ;)
 
They should fit fine. The problem is going to be finding those old Cole Ones. They`ve been out of production for years, so you won`t be able to find them at any GW store or anything like that.
 
I see the old Godzilla Cold Ones on eBay fairly often so you might give that a try ;)
 
There's only one answer on where to get them: "the junkyard" Ebay!!

Guess I will just scope out the old Fleabay.

If anyone has any of those they'd like to sell, I'd love to get them!
 
There's one in the dark elf Sorceress set, but the price makes it impractical to get many
 
Yea you can usually get them pretty cheep since everyone want the dark elf ones or the current ones...
 
And be sure to look at both the Lizardmen ones on eBay and also the Dark Elf ones because they have the old Godzilla ones as well ;) You wont get the mounts that way but you'll at least have the mounts!
