Hey Everyone,

Just thought i would put this little guy up and see what peoples thoughts were.

The shield took me ages as I wanted to get it like the one in the book, the whole light and dark green. I think I did OK.

Not bad, but I think the gold and the wood bits could use a dark drown wash (I forget GW's new names)
it would help bring out the textures and details better. ;)

I think it's called Agrax Earthshade now. Used to be Devlan Mud.

In general, I agree with n810. You have done a good and clean job. I particularly like your treatment of the scars. But the model could benefit from some shading washes (and some highlighting) to take it up to the next level. In addition to adding a shading wash over the gold, I would also do it on the gray/brown scales to add definition. And the green of the shield is very dark. Highlighting would bring out the detail in the shield.

One final tip is that with the type of texture you put on the base, you should paint the base brown before adding the texture. That way if there are any spots showing through, they don't show through as black.

Nice Gor-Rok. The shield does look good with the different green colors. Some highlighting will help bring out the details more as Dyvim mentioned.

Really like the paint job especially on the shield
The green looks really nice :P

The gold is also nice but stands out to much on the green
not so much on the white.
