It could be my extensive posting of Pokemon on the Last person to post thread, but they kind of look like different stages of evolution :P

I'm super happy with him now that he's finished. I definitely pushed myself, tried new things, and learned a lot. It's the first large scale model that I went all out on, so I'm happy for that too.

Now to paint some terrain and endless spells for a "break" lol

Thank you, the GD recommendation is flattering! There's 2 main reasons I don't think I will. I don't think the paintjob is good enough/clean enough for GD, and I'm planning on using him in my tournament list when I go to Adepticon 2023. I doubt you can submit something into GD if you're using it in the event since it needs to be in the display cases. But if I don't use him in the tournament, I might submit him just to get the critique and feedback! I also *might* paint something else for GD, but it would have to be a much smaller model, like a single skink :D.

That is funny, I could see them as an evolutionary line, moving from slann to old kroak to new kroak!

After a bit of time away from the hobby desk, the next project is underway! I got to work on a very old second hand stegadon. I cleaned it up as best I could, removed the throne from inside the engine and cut off the top half to attach it to the top of the ring. I wanted the inside cleared out so I can attempt something ambitious :joyful:. I realized the inside was hollow tho, so made a small plaque by imprinting a piece of green stuff that I'll fix in place once it dries.

Once I get this built the rest of the way, I'll be priming it along with my realmshaper and a couple endless spells, purple sun, horrorghast and maybe ravenaks.

Shaved the plaque down to fit in the gap left behind from cutting out the throne, just to cover it up with more green stuff o_O.

I'm gonna let this set for awhile, hopefully I can smooth it out a bit once it's dried. We'll see. I'm sure it'll look better with paint on it. Going to be attempting a freehand galaxy inside the ring

It's not warhammer, but here's a painting I made for my wife for Christmas!

RSE is done! A fun little project to get back at the hobby desk. I think I'm gonna start on saurus knights next, looking to speedpaint 20 using spare terrible cold ones to get ready for Adepticon. I'll save the dark elf cold ones I have to put some more effort into at a later time :D
