7th Ed. Great weapon and shield?

Hi, I'm a little confused.
I was on Librarium the other day and people were listing their scar vet combinations with shields and great weapons. Can you give a saurus hero both?

Yeah, but you can't get the benefit of both in one combat, you need to choose which weapon you want to use

ahh okay thanks, so you can still use the shield against shooting attacks for only 2 points thanks again
