8th Ed. Greedy fist = major shinnanagans

I played a game at my local shop yesterday and got greedy fisted first turn so my slann was usless the rest of the game so i got owned is that bullcrqp combo allowed in tourniments?

Yep, perfectly legal.

Pay attention to the ranges on the Death Magic spells tough, they are fairly short so that Slaughtermaster must get pretty close, and he has to do hits to take your levels away. Spirit Leach doesn't work as it doesn't do any hits. He's got two spells that will work (if he gets both) and one is only 12" so make sure you know which ones to stop.

Also, use Cogitation, it can easily make him lose concentration on his first attempt.

Is it allowed in tournaments?

It completely depends on how good the comp pack is, where are you playing? Here in the UK some tournaments disallow the greedy fist combo but mostly Ogre comp is pretty light.

Hang on in the book if u take higher state for slann it says "magic attacks do not have an effect on the slann " meaning that thevgreedy fist shuld not be allowed to hit u so it cannot affect it i think

It's the other way around ... ONLY magical attacks can hurt him.

It is a really powerful combo! I love to use it in almost all my Ogre builds. Is it over powered? Maybe a little. Cogitation will take care of it in most cases. Also, you could take a dispell scroll and the cube of darkness to try to control more magic phases.

I have not seen anywhere anything about the combo being banned or not allowed. Even over on the Ogre Stronghold, there have been no posts about that.
