Blog Greek themed Lizardmen (Dual Carno Gen and BSB update)

I love Dual carno list, its the kind of list that win or loss is fantastic to play. and when it works its just so beautiful it makes you cry xD

I had a match vs WoC few weeks ago, highlight was 4 juggernoughts charging my Gen on carno. lucky i had my Bastiliadon close so my Carno attakes befor the jugernoughts.

4 hit
4 wond

All 5's and 6's

I kill all 4 juggernauts before they even get to attack!!!!!!!!!! xD

the WoC player just looked at his juggernoughts o.o

then looked at me o.o

then looked at the dice o.o

then looked at my carno o.o

then quietly put his juggernauts back into there Box.

That's awesome.
I had a similar moment.
Skink calls in the broken arrow. Comet strike, on saurus.
Daemon Prince hit saurus in a flank. Chimera closed in, warriors of khorne and chaos lord closed in, juggernaughts circling in as well.
Chaos is lined up to crush 600 points of core.
Magic phase, I get 3 power dice. Chaos gets 1.
Comet comes down, does 11 hits on the chaos warriors, 10 on the prince, 10 on the chimers, 8 on the juggernaughts. MISSES both units of saurus (needed a 5 to hit all the chaos units, and a 6 to hit me, I rolled a 5 for the radius).
When the smoke clears, the jubilant skink priest 2 die curses the chaos lords surviving warriors (re-roll 6's) and then I 1 die the bastiladon doing 2D6 more hits on the chaos warriors, killing everyone except the unit champ and general.

I was able to force the frenzy overrun into my center, and pepper my own center with comets.
The carnos rounded up the guys who got away.

And in the nick of time the tournoment is this Sunday! now just need to finish Hercules and Theseus xD

The Green carno is Theseus's and the black and orange one is Hercules's.

I like how the blood on the Green one came out, a mixed a little bit of black ink in with the blood and it makes it look alot more gory i think.


Sorry for the shit pic but i found with the flash it was MUCH easyer to see the blood spatter which is what i wanted to show off a bit.


 
Both are FREAKING FEROCIOUS. Now those are what I call Carnage-saurs ;) . Hopefully they don't get zapped away too early before wreaking havoc on whatever you guide them towards.
 
I think blood spattered models are hard to pull off well but you definitely managed to pull them off well. I especially like the mouth spatters on the green one.

i know... first thinking that comes to mind "Why the hell temple guard without Slann, and why the hell 3 kroxigors solo)

Answer? they are painted and look nice xD

With all the stupidly competitive lists now like vampires with 12 screams, and empire with 2 tanks and all cavalry with 1+ saves its honestly almost impossible for a lizardmen to win a tournoment. in addition to my team being comprised of the winners of almost every single tournoment in the past 3 years xD ya i have no chance :P Because of this im just going to try and win best Painted/Personalized. Which is a free Battalion box so Im not complaining xD
 
Got to play a couple of games with the dual carno list today vs. Tomb Kings.

First game I tabled them and had a blast. Second game I got tabled but still had a blast. Damn Stalkers came on and looked at my General with 30 hits. Then the BSB Carno failed a cold-blooded 9....twice. :jawdrop: Bye, bye general and BSB in Turn 2. On the bright side my Level 1 Beast successfully cast Transformation and turned into a dragon...twice! :)

I am going to continue tweaking my list. I think the only thing possibly better than 3 units of Rippers is 4 units of Rippers. I am hopefully going to give that a go tomorrow.

I don't think you can duplicate special choices 4 times in reference to the rippers

But if so please tell me XD I would do the same honestly they are the workhorses of a dual Carno list IMO
 
Yeah right after I posted I realized I couldn't take 4 units of them. :depressed:

I WON!!!!!! Best Army!!!! not bad i walked away with a battalion box which seeing as my friend is a manager of a GW store i returned it and will get myself some more lizzards :P

I did not do that great,

first match vs scaven was just hell, so many initiative checks with my Carnos, it ended in a minor loss

Second match i out right brutilized the enemy massacer

and last match was just crap, vs Chaos with 4 charriots, deamon prence with death,

he was throing Purple sun with 6 dice every single turn
the sun alone killed 27 Tembple guard, 1 skink preast, 1 carno, my BSB and 40 Saurus

But as i said i went to win best painted and i did so im really pleased with myself!
 
Sorry you didn't win the game, but congrats on best army! :D Honestly, I think I'd be happier with that than winning the game, especially when that army has as much love put into it as yours :P.

Your Carnosaurs look so magnificent! They're really inspiring ^_^. Blood on as big a model as the Carnosaur is something I love seeing on other peoples' models, but is something I think I'd be too scared to ever try for myself, haha :P.

I dident do to bad in the matches,
1 massacre, in favor
1 pirric victory, Against
1 Decisive victory against (god dam purple sun of 'oh look how pro i am with my 6 dice every single turn)

I was a awesome tournament tho,

In my team there is 4 incredible players all national champions a few of them play for the national team of Spain in the European turnoments.

Then there is 4 who are good players but not nearly of that level, myself being one of them. and asides from me, the other 3 of the "second tear" players won 2nd 3rd and 5th, and all the veterans where in the 9th 11th 14th

Then me... 35th :P BUT I STILL GOT A TROPHY!!!

It was oddly enough one of my most fun tournaments even tho i came out 35th out of 100 which is i think the worst i have ever done in 40k or fantasy. but so many really good players there and a very healthy competitive environment.

Tomb Kings, he focused on trying to kill my carnos so much that he dident relize that i managed to set up a perfict turn of combat where 30 temple guard attack 2 times in one turn, by destorying the first unit, advancing hitting the next unit in combat, destory it and advancing and hitting his main block of tomb guards at the same time as both carnos hit it, and well.

I destroyed his entire army exept 1 catapult and all i lost was 1 Carno (rider was fine) and both my skink preasts, but i killed them myself via miscasts :P

You are just frickin awesome. My dad is currently working on a Greek based army. He is doing the Minotaurs Space Marines and uses some of the same Greek parts as you! :)

No. This...is...LUSTRIA! The guy who did that deserves a medal. And so do you (losing to that horrible Tyranid army)
