Greenstuff help...

Hey guys, just wondering never really used green stuff but how do you get it to dry?
The pros use incandescent lamps mounted over coffee cans to speed dry what they have sculpted. The can concentrates the heat.

They also experiment with the mix. (I think a slightly higher percentage of blue[?] will speed along the hardening...but reduce working time.)

Otherwise. Wait Patiently.

Other pro tips:
  • lubricate tools with water, frequently.
  • Or, reduce stickiness of tools with Petroleum Jelly; but be wary of getting a lot of PJ in the mix between layers. It retards drying and can even de-laminate the sculpt (if it’s going to be cast).

convert some old coldone models into Razordons. Greenstuff is the bane of my existence right now and I'm struggling to make spikes.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to make spikes and the best way to attach them?
Plastic Bird spikes are inexpensive. (It’s a product meant to foil roosting pigeons and other nuisance birds.)

Trim them to length desired; attach with blob of greenstuff at the base.
