Hi all! =]
Came across this place through a Google search and thought it would be worth registering - if nothing else the place looks too pretty not to!
So I'm pawl. I'm 32, from the UK and I've been loitering in the hobby world since the late 90s. In that time I've found myself collecting (though barely painting) models for a variety of factions, though after an extended spell away from the hobby side of things I've decided I need to fix the 'barely painted'!
My current main focus is, as you might have guessed, some Seraphon. I've wanted a Lizardmen army since I was about 10, and when I saw a SC: Seraphon box up at a 35% discount I couldn't help myself! The vague plan is "orange and teal on swamp bases", but I'll probably be pestering you with questions later!
In the future I'm also planning a load of Orks (in green, obviously) and Astartes (from second ed models to current, in glorious purple!) but we'll save them for another day.
My painting level is probably somewhere around 'alright I suppose', but I judge myself rather harshly. I know what I want to do and usually know roughly how to do it, but lack of skill (and practise) means I often fall short of my target. That will hopefully start to change after a load of lizards!
When I'm not failing to paint models I read a fair amount of Black Library material (twenty-something books into the Horus Heresy series currently) and have spent the last two years tinkering with The Warp Storm (it's finally 'finished', come say hi!), as well as trying to write little guides to save people time, money or effort in the hobby.
So that's the short version of me. Hi!
